As a psychotherapist, I enjoy helping my clients explore their unconscious Minds. Together, we explore the unconscious through art, writing, and dreams. The unconscious can tell conflicts, issues, and struggles unknown to the client. This information can help clients learn more about themselves, and knowing the subtext in their productions can be gratifying for those in the entertainment industry. When audiences resonate with the feelings, struggles, and actions of the creator, others resonate with the material, and some of these can become famous media,
What is the Unconcousis
Levels of human consciousness are defined as states of awareness. The unconscious Mind is considered a well of material in a person's Mind that is unknown to the person. The concept of the unconscious was found as he saw patients who had repressed thoughts and feelings that were inappropriate to the time.
Research on unconscious ontinues is to be studied. Psychology Today (2024) reveals that much learning occurs outside consciousness, especially in recognizing complex patterns. Similarly, many that go into judgments and decision-making are processed outside of awareness, also thought to be the product of the unconscious, processes which are assumptions quickly developed from cumulative information and experience.
Surprisingly, researchers have found that the unconscious is responsible for much of the brain's work. This was noticed partly because the unconscious operates faster than the conscious Mind. Another area of the unconscious Mind is how emotions take shape. The unconscious has rich information. Often, it is this unknown information, anxiety, or other feelings that can get in the way of people moving forward in their lives.
For most people, it is helpful to work on problems or struggles once we understand their root causes. It may be hard to find out what is happening inside ourselves, but we can help others find conflicts, feelings, and fears in the unconscious of others.
I've enjoyed helping people understand their unconscious struggles. I've learned a lot from interpreting dreams, artwork, and writings and from people bringing films and TV shows that resonate with them. I don't interpret for others; I try to get as much meaning as possible from the creator or responder and make guesses. The other person must see if my hypotheses resonate with them. Sometimes, they come up with ideas that are right for them. If not, I keep asking questions about the situation and the feelings surrounding it, and usually, we find the answer. When we figure it out, it feels good for both of us. But this is just the beginning.
