As you said: "Coping with pain is very difficult. It is like going through the grieving process of losing a child, ..." but as long as we live we will try to fix things. Sometimes the unavoidable objective circumstances, which are not manageable caused missunderstanding and we hope all our life that we could relieve the consequnces and relieve the child from suffering.

As someone who felt estranged from both of my parents at various times, it can be hard for the kids too. Some things are pretty hard to put behind you.

It is so true. It is surprising how much it happens; Parents are in deep pain. I think you are right; most kids want to have some reonnection with parent

My husband’s daughter is estranged from him, and it’s heartbreaking for him. He has a 13 year old granddaughter he’s never met. Thank you for the resources, I will show them to him. And I know that should help. I appreciate you putting this out there.
